Rob was born and raised in Wichita, KS and graduated from Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School in 1985. Upon graduation, Rob attended Southern Methodist University and received a Bachelors degree in History. Shortly after graduation, Rob was hired by the Equitable Life Insurance Company and sold life insurance, mutual funds, and retirement annuities using a consultative needs based approach.
In 1992, Rob moved to Atlanta, GA where he was promoted to District Manager with Equitable Insurance where he built a nationally recognized sales organization winning numerous performance awards. In 2001, Rob was promoted to co-manage AXA Advisors (formally Equitable Insurance) in St. Louis where he focused on leading organizational growth through the hiring and retention of new financial services representatives. In 2002, Rob was transferred to Louisville, KY to manage Kentucky and southern Indiana for AXA Advisors. After three years of successful growth, Rob was again asked to transfer but elected to decline in order to raise his family in Anchorage, Kentucky. On May 31, 2005, Rob resigned from AXA Advisors and established a new independent wealth management firm in Louisville known as Kentucky Planning Partners, LLC. Rob firmly believes in a holistic financial planning approach and is highly regarded in the Louisville financial planning marketplace. Rob is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) as well as the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).
Rob holds his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner (CFP) designation and is Certified in Long Term Care Insurance (CLTC). Rob is a registered representative and investment advisor representative of Linsco/Private Ledger and also has his life and health insurance license in Kentucky as well as IN, KS, NC, TX and MD. Rob holds his Securities Licenses Series 7, 6, 63, 65, 24, 26, and 53 with Linsco/Private Ledger.
Rob lives with his wife Lorie and their two children, Ellie and Robby in Anchorage, KY. His family is a member of Anchorage Presbyterian Church and Rob is on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana and is currently the membership chairman for Owl Creek Country Club. Rob enjoys time with his family, playing golf, tennis, and racing his Alfa Romeo vintage race car.
